Dog Boarding (1).png

Welcome to our cattery! Our modern, state of the art cattery has been designed to mimic your cat's home environment. Our entire two-storey unit is spacious, warm and comfortable, housing individual, multi-level rooms to keep each cat feeling safe and content during their stay with us. We also have a large indoor 'garden' room where your cat can roam and stretch their legs in a space designed to replicate their garden at home.

Each unit is fitted with bedding, an enclosed litter box and enriching toys and games to keep your cat stimulated and entertained in between cat-naps. Also, our fully-trained staff are always on hand for a cuddle! Click here to read about our daily routine.

During their stay, your cat will only socialise with members of their own household and will not come into contact with any other animal. To make an enquiry, please call us on 01244 548711 or drop us an email at hey@tygwynpets.co.uk.

FAQs

Do I need to supply my cat's food?

No, but you are more than welcome to if you prefer. If you choose not to then we have a range of dry and wet food to feed your pet included in our price. When you arrive for your pet's stay, you will be asked to fill out a short form which details your pet's diet, which we will follow to your exact requirements.

Will my cat mix with any other cats during their stay?

No, your cat will only socialise with other cats from your family. Cats are not pack animals like dogs, therefore they don't necessarily get on with cats from other households! Our cat units have glass windows where cats can watch our mini world go by, and they get plenty of interaction with our staff if they are partial to a cuddle! We also have a one of a kind indoor cat garden which they can explore independently.

My cat is unfriendly, will you still accept them?

Of course (although we draw the line at wild Bengal tigers!). Our cat units are designed so that if your cat wants to be left completely alone, our staff can enter the unit without disturbing your cat in their private bedroom while they clean their litter tray and feed them.

Are your premises secure?

Yes, our premises are completely secure and are monitored by CCTV 24/7. We also have staff at the premises around the clock, 365 days of the year. For your added peace of mind, we also offer Tractive GPS Cat Tracking devices for you to hire for the duration of your cat's stay. This allows you to track their location wherever you are in the world, as well as giving you a report of how much exercise your dog had during their stay. You can add this to your booking by speaking to a member of staff.

What happens if my pet falls ill while I am away?

All of our staff are fully trained and certified in feline first aid, meaning we can quickly address many emergency situations as quickly as possible. If your pet requires veterinary attention, we will take them to our chosen veterinary surgery (The Grange in Mold). Please note, your cat will never be left unsupervised with any treat or toy which could pose a choking hazard.

My cat is on medication, can they still board with you?

Of course! We are familiar with most common ailments and are used to all manner of medication, from creams and eye drops to tablets and injections. You will be asked for a description of your pet's condition and their daily dosage when you arrive. All cats that board with us must have an up to date vaccination certificate, including all annual boosters.

I am going to miss my pet a lot. Can I contact them during their stay?

We understand how hard it can be to leave your pet while you are away, therefore we send regular updates with photos and videos to show you what your pet is up to and how much fun they are having! We are also only a phone call or email away, so feel free to drop us a message during our opening ours and we will let you know all about what your kitty has been up to during their holiday!
